Spur 58 Adoptions

I have never met these guys but feel like I have.  They are a great band from Texas (living in TN) that is going overseas with us in November.  Two of the guys in the band,  Steven and Aaron, are in the adoption process.  These are great guys who are follwowing a specific calling for their families.  However, the adoption process is very expensive and being a musician usually means living on a modest income.  Check out their adoption blogs and there is information on how to help them financially if you led to do that.

  1. hey brian,

  2. yea, Brian! i’ve been reading their blogs for awhile now. it is exciting to watch their progress. i like the challenges to LIVE your Christianity that they throw out.

i got a CI sponsorship package in the mail yesterday to pass on to someone else that might want to sponsor. got two families in mind for this little girl.

  3. Hey Brian…not sure if you remember me, but I was an Ikon-ite in summer of 06 (interning at CCM that summer, then headed back to ORU to finish my degree). Well, I’m a graduate now and working full time as a staff writer for many of ORU’s publications/campaigns/etc. I love it. But I’m still wanting to move back to Nashville, so we’ll see!

Anyhow, it sounds like you guys are having a fun and busy season. Maybe I’ll catch you guys on the road somewhere, somehow. Let me know how you are, though! That summer with you all was very significant to me, and I definitely miss the Ikon glory days.

    Take care,
    Rachel (wegner)

  4. Thanks for letting people know about us. I am Jamie, Aaron’s wife, and we are adopting from Haiti right now!

    :) Jamie
