Francis Chan

This guy is a stud. I spent a small amount of time with him in Uganda at the end of May and was able to take him to visit a Compassion project in Kampala. However, Francis did not need me to introduce him to the needs of the world or his call to do something about it. Francis is a husband, father, pastor, and sought after speaker. I pulled the following quote and video from his blog.

Why is my life more valuable than this baby’s? Someone asked me recently why I don’t save money for emergencies, or retirement. My answer was how can I justify saving for myself “just in case” something happens to me when something IS happening to so many already. 29,000 kids will die today of preventable causes. If I’m to love my neighbor AS myself, why spend so much time worrying about me?
