This Week
Things are a little nuts this week in my world/head. I have a tour starting tomorrow and my job is to connect Compassion with tours and artists. Tomorrow’s tour also happens to be one that includes both of my brothers. One of my responsibilities is to go out for the first two or three dates of a tour and make sure all things Compassion are running smoothly (logisitcs, volunteers, presentation, video, etc). So, tomorrow I will board a plane and head to the great State of Texas (from whence I came). This trip takes on a different twist becasue Amy is going with me and we are connecting to friends and doing some important adoption meetings at our adoption agency in Dallas. Here is what the rest of my week looks like if any of you like to follow my daily calendar (and I know you do!).
Wednesday – Amy and I board a flight from Nashville to Dallas. As soon as we land in Dallas we will go to Buckner and have a huge, massive adoption meeting. I hope to share some limited details of that meeting with you here this week. After the meeting we will go straight to The Heights for the first night of the Hope, Coffee, and Melody Tour – this church also happens to be the church Amy went to from 4th grade on. After the concert we are going to celebrate the happenings from the huge, massive adoption meeting with my brothers, some old friends, and some new friends who are also adopting from Africa.
Thursday – we will see some more Dallas area friends before we make our way down I-35 to the home of the Baylor Bears. Amy and I will talk fondly of dating during college and living in Waco the first 4 years of our marriage. We will remember when Olivia was born there and when the caged up bear used to drink Dr. Pepper at football games. We will then attend the second night of the Hope, Coffee, and Melody Tour at Common Grounds. We will get some well deserved sleep after a late night drive back to our hotel in Dallas.
Friday – Catch a flight back home to Nashville where we will celebrate the happenings from the huge, massive adoption meeting with our children and TN family.
That’s the rest of my week. I hope yours goes well, too.

I’m looking forward to your crazy schedule because it means we get to meet you and Amy!
